Drawing never gets old. I draw when I’m happy, I draw when I’m sad. I draw at bars and restaurants. I draw when I’m on the phone. I draw when I’m in meetings. I draw when I should be going to bed. I draw because I can’t help myself. Or maybe drawing is helping myself. Drawing helps me get out of self. It helps me process, express, and explore emotion. The best drawings happen after I’ve stopped caring about the outcome, after I’m tired of drawing.
This collection of drawings explores themes around money, obsession, vanity, fear, and people.
